Peter j. Lassen

Peter J. Lassen (1930–2019) was a visionary Danish designer and the founder of Montana Furniture. He is most celebrated for creating the world-renowned Montana System, a modular storage concept that revolutionized the way we organize and personalize our homes.

After working closely with design giants like Verner Panton and Arne Jacobsen (specifically as the CEO of Fritz Hansen), Lassen developed his own philosophy: Freedom of choice. In 1982, he launched the Montana System based on a mathematical grid of 12mm MDF, offering endless possibilities for combination and a vibrant palette of colors.
